Our Story: One Scoop at a Time

We are Lauren and Sean, the proud owners of Lacroix's Homemade!

After countless summers of scooping experience and a lifetime love for ice cream we are so excited we jumped into the world of small business ownership and turned our dream into reality by opening our very own shop. Lacroix’s is named after Lauren’s grandfather - the biggest ice cream lover we know - and the inspiration behind it all.

Both with Connecticut roots, we made the move from Stamford to Plainville in 2023 with a dream and (let’s be honest) not much of a business plan. An industrial park? Perfect! Nothing says “hang out and enjoy ice cream” like concrete and parking lots :)

We take our ice cream seriously (ourselves, not so much) - serving up irresistible homemade treats, good vibes, and a place where everyone feels welcome. For us, it's more than dessert, it's about catching up and enjoying time together with family, friends, and pups too.

We’re just really grateful to be here, adding a little extra sweetness to the Plainville community - one scoop at a time!

About Our Ice Cream

At Lacroix’s Homemade, Sean makes all our ice cream the old-fashioned way, in-house, small-batch, and full of flavor. Our menu features classic favorites, rotating seasonal specials, and something for everyone, including sundaes, banana splits, milkshakes, vegan and dairy-free options, and sugar-free flavors.

Waffle cones and bowls are made fresh daily, and flavors rotate often, giving everyone a reason to come back and try something new while still finding familiar favorites they love.
